What Our Customers Have to Say About Our Wedding Menu Cards
Great service and great invites! Review by Priska
We had a great experience with Basic Invites! We wanted to create our own custom invites on canva because a lot of wedding invite websites didn't support features that we wanted, like full photo on the other side of the card, or QR code to the website. Basic Invites also seemed to be one of the few that 1) allowed us to use a high quality PDF instead of a jpeg 2) had slightly thicker paper for the envelopes (we ordered samples from other places and the envelopes were completely see-through!). Additionally we were so happy with the customer service after we needed a few addressed envelopes reprinted due to the font we selected slightly overlapping with the address line. If you do custom invites just remember to also update your own return address in the envelope edit stage, we almost missed this because the recipient address is done in the address book.
I love my save the dates Review by Caitlan
These were literally almost perfect except for the website kept crashing when I tried to change the font of the J and C to a cursive script to match the save the date script. I was a bit disappointed about that, but overall they are very nice. They are light weight which makes them easy to mail.
Support service was extremely helpful! I appreciate their timely responses and follow-up with me. Review by Nilgun

Love! Review by Jess
Loved the different types of paper! It would be helpful if each of them were marked so I could make sure to order what I wanted. The staff at Basic Invite quickly responded to my question about the paper though. 100% satisfied!

3 Benefits Of Printed Wedding Menus
- Ingredients List
-
As a courtesy to your guests, giving them a printed wedding menu that lists the ingredients of each dish will help eliminate any concerns your guest may have. This is very nice for anyone that may have a food allergy or any other type of food intolerance.
- Selections Reminder
-
If you are having a formal dinner and are giving your guests different appetizer, entree, and dessert options offering a wedding menu card will be appreciated so guests can be aware of the different options beforehand.
- Avoiding Delays
-
Some guests may need additional time to make their decision. With a printed menu, they will have the time to make their selection before the waiter visits the table, or in the case of a buffet line, your guest will already be aware of the options so they can make their selections quickly. This is can be a help to you as well as a very nice courtesy to your guests.
Frequently Asked Questions About Wedding Menu Cards
What information should be included on a wedding menu card?
A wedding menu card should include the courses offered for dinner—appetizer, entrée, and dessert—and a short summary of each course. You can even add a title such as “Wedding Menu” or your respective names and wedding date for a more personal feel. In case you offer more than one entrée, you can include all or only emphasize on what has been chosen.
Do we need to list every single ingredient on a printed wedding menu?
No, You don’t include a complete list of ingredients—just a brief, appetizing description of what you would see in a quality restaurant. Call out the key elements and any particularly notable flavors, making it easy to read at the same time. If there are any special nutritional issues, your caterer can take care of those details as a special request at the reception.
Should drinks be listed on the wedding menu card?
It's entirely your call. If you are featuring a signature drink, a champagne toast, or a selected wine list, many couples opt for those details. It's a thoughtful gesture that can make a meal more enjoyable—though not necessary unless drinks are central to your celebration.
What size should wedding menu cards be?
Our best-selling wedding menu size is our 4" x 9.25" size, which is a lovely size for a place setting or charger plate. We also have square size, as well as a smaller size, for a more minimalist look. We offer all our sizes with customization to fit your invitation suite.
How many wedding menu cards do I need?
If you are leaving a menu on every guest's plate, then order one per person. If you want a minimalist appearance, you can have one per table or one per two people, particularly for buffet receptions. Order a couple extras, just in case you have a change you need at the last minute, or as keepsakes.
